Jesse Jackson Speaks on Extreme Poverty in Haiti….

In this Huff Post article by Jesse Jackson, he talks about the dire situation in Haiti, and why we as Americans need to help. When I hear stories like Jesse’s, it makes me angry. It doesn’t make any sense that our neighbors in Haiti should be picking through garbage and eating dirt to survive. Instead of the fruitless nation-building that we are doing in Iraq, we should be helping this country that is right in our backyard create industries that will allow Haiti to sustain itself, and create a government that has creditability.
