NAACP Picks Young Activist To Take The Reins
May 17, 2008 by P.Cash

As I commented a few posts ago, the NAACP met on Friday to select a new President and CEO, and at the time I expressed a wish that they would select a younger leader to move them forward. Well they have. Today they are announcing the appointment of 35 year old Benjamin T. Jealous to the post. A lifelong activist, Jealous most recently served as President of the Rosenberg Foundation, a Human Rights organization based in California. This looks like a good move, as he looks to increase their online presence, something I believe will be integral to their renewed growth.
